Mondays seem to be coming round a bit fast at the moment even though I know they have the standard six days between them. You might have noticed a lack of mid week posts on this blog, I guess I've been feeling a little uninspired or maybe just not connecting with the new music I've been listening to lately. If you think you have something that might awaken my musical senses please send it over to tlsreview at gmail.com or just leave a comment, I'm all ears.
So here's my list of concerts in London I recommend for this week.
Monday
King Charles Love Lust Single Launch Party @ The Lexington
Tuesday
Japandroids with White Heat, 4 Or 5 Magicians, William @ Madame Jo Jo's
Wednesday
Efterklang and Britten Sinfonia with Jaga Jazzist and Sons of Noel and Adrian @ Barbican Centre
Los Campesinos with Copy Haho and Sparky Deathcap @ The Garage
Japandroids instore @ Rough Trade East, 7pm (see RT website for wristband details) (FREE)
Thursday
The Twilight Sad @ Scala
Friday
The Dead Weather @ HMV Forum
Saturday
London Symphony Orchestra with Grizzly Bear, St. Vincent and Hermana @ Barbican Centre
Daniel Johnston with Laura Marling @ Bloomsbury Ballroom
Check all the details before you head out, cancellations, wrong times etc could ruin an evening.
Also here's a link to the lovely new video for The Low Anthem's 'Charlie Darwin' from their second album 'Oh My God Charlie Darwin'. It's a beautiful song and the video is very sweetly put together, I love his little hat.
While on the subject, The Low Anthem are continuing with their seemingly non stop touring schedule adding another date to the UK leg of the tour at the Union Chapel on Monday 23rd November, details here. I've seen them five times this year, have a ticket to their sold out show at The Tabernacle in November and I'm still thinking about getting a ticket for this extra show, yep they're that good.
I'm also really looking forward to finally getting to see Daniel Johnston live next Monday when he plays the Union Chapel supported by Laura Marling -a fairly big support gig for her.
That's it for now, please send me your music and give me a reason to write a little more. Thanks.

More Low Anthem at the Chapel is sorely tempting but having to also sit through David Gray and Newton Faulkner means I'll probably let this one drift. No offence to fans of those respective artists of course ;-)
I'm with you on that, I've decided to let this one pass as well.
