Loads of great bands in the capital this week. I'm going to be popping along to the WIRED festival at the Vortex Jazz club on Sunday, if this is anything likes last years WIRED it's going to be fantastic - worth also noting -IT'S FREE!!!!!! Here are some of the acts:
Lindsay West/Nick Mulvey/Fiona Bevan/Stephen Long/Samantha Whates/The Woe Betides/Roxy Rawson/Isobel Anderson/Jess Bryant/Kit Richardson.
Nick Mulvey's (of Portico Quartet) performance at WIRED blew me away last year, so good.

btw the cat in the photo is called "Mincer" (because of the way he walks) . He's our next door neighbours' cat, his real name is Max but we think "Mincer" suits him better so we continue to call him that. This morning he took some time out from his daily rounds to play "string" with me. From the moment his head went all wooly and he got a slightly crazy glare in his eyes I knew he simply wouldn't be able to resist.

Also on Saturday..

I Am Kloot at The Garage - a real hidden gem of a band featuring one of this country's finest songwriters, Johnny Bramwell.
