(In case any concerts have changed dates/ changed venues/ been cancelled or I've made a typo, you'd be wise to check out the venue websites before heading out the door because it's mighty cold out there and I wouldn't want you to freeze.)

I'm looking forward to seeing Mumford & Sons on Tuesday and catching some of the free instore concerts this week. I really wanted to see Vivian Girls at Rough Trade East on Tuesday but it clashes with Mumford & Sons at the Hoxton Bar and Grill which is going to be a popular concert so I probably need to get there reasonably early.

If you fancy a bit of
Rockney (that's Rock + Cockney) then you should check out Chas 'n' Dave at the Electric Ballroom on Thursday. "Rabbit rabbit rabbit rabbit rabbit".

Have a good week!

Also on Monday there's Loney, Dear @ Old Blue Last and also Gregory and the Hawk @ Big Chill House. Silly gig clashes. On Tuesday I'll take a break from revision to see Vivian Girls. I haven't really listened to them before, but I like their name, I love Henry Darger's paintings. Did you see that Mumford and Sons are doing an instore at Pure Groove in a few weeks? yay :)

Thanks for the extra gig info Anika.

That's good news about Mumford & Sons, I thought I'd read something about that instore but had forgotten :-) Reckon it'll be pretty popular and justifiably so!

Alishas Ark @ Pure Groove on Thursday should be good - she's the lady I chatted with after Department of Eagles @ Rough Trade West.

I might go to that Alisha's Ark dealie on Thursday. But the most awesome gig of the week will surely be M83 at St. Giles on Friday- I don't get genuinely excited about much these days, but that combination of band and venue promises an absolute blinder of a show. Also, the wonderful Rachel Unthank and the Winterset will be playing Union Chapel on Thursday.

Enjoy Mumford and Sons! :-) Hopefully I'll get to see them one day...

Paul and I are going to see 'A Place to Bury Strangers' tonight at the ICA.

Just thought I'd let you know!

Oh, and 'IAMX' were absolutely amazing on Saturday.

They played 6 new tracks, including the download only single 'Think of England'.

The live band just keep getting tighter and tighter!

The support, 'The Modern', were, ironically, just like a horrible amalgamation of Gary Neuman, The Human League and Flock of Seagulls. I've nothing against the mix itself, in fact it really could be quite good, but it really did feel as though you already knew all the songs before they played them... very formulaic!

Anyway, just thought you should mention the 'Place to Bury Strangers' gig tonight (I know I'm little late with the info thought!

Ruth.
