One Year Today

One year ago today, me and my other half tied the knot. It was a sunny day, just like today but maybe not quite as hot. We're both not the show boat kind of people, so we thought long and hard about how to get out of doing a first dance on our own infront of every one, so we decided to have a ceilidh, problem solved. We choose a band called MoonCoin and they were spot on. Everyone loved it-well worth every penny we spent on them.

Their website describes them as:

"... a traditional barn dance/ceilidh band based in North Wales, UK. We play a variety of music from the British Isles and beyond, including Irish, Welsh, Scottish, English, American and European tunes, for dancers of all abilities and ages."

MoonCoin, if you read this, thank you and yes we are still happily married!

If anyone else happens to land on this blog and is thinking of doing something similar for their wedding, I can't recommend it enough. No video footage unfortunately, we were too busy being married and dancing until the wee hours.

So today I would like to dedicate this post to my husband and post his favourite song, Bruce Springsteen, The River.

Congratulations! That does sound like a great idea for a wedding. We spent today planning the Tibet video. It looks like the first track will be the Vajra Guru mantra with cello and organ.

Thanks CookieMouse.
I'm looking forward to seeing your video about Tibet, do you have plans to screen in venues/events etc?

We are planning a concert in Amsterdam, and maybe an event to clash with the opening of the Olympic Games. Milena wants to do some modern music as well, but first we want to work on the fusion project. The musicians are all real pros, so now I just need to get the right voices.
You may like to check out this site. This music festival takes place today and on the weekend:

Sounds really good. Keep it going.

Thanks for the tip off for the H-ot Scenes music festival -I've added a link to the What's on part of the site.
